Mr. Wemmick, Mr. Jaggers head clerk, is showing Pip the casts of late convicts, which
were famous cases for Jaggers's law rm. The scene plays behind the desk in Mr.
Jaggers's once in Little Britain, London.
This picture was ment as a short break after drawing the bigger warehouse illustration
from chapter 29. I designed the room as a hexagonal chamber, in which I added some
peculiar furniture, like a table with a lion gargoyle or an african mask, to other items
mentioned in the book. Even if the characters are immersed completely in shadow, a
highlighting of the borders was added to the two characters. Notice the light thrown
from a window on the
oor in the down left.
